Writer Match ("we", "us", "our") operates the writermatch.app platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal data in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

We collect: full name, email address, biography, preferred literary genres, uploaded works (text, synopsis, metadata), payment data (managed by Stripe — we do not store card details), account information (plan, language preferences).
Your data is used to: provide the Writer Match service, manage your account, match your works with editorial opportunities, send you notifications about your submissions, process payments, improve the platform.
Processing is based on consent expressed at registration and on the performance of the service contract. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to privacy@writermatch.app.
Your data is not sold to third parties. It is shared exclusively with publishers/agents on the platform to the extent that you submit a manuscript to them. Payment data is handled by Stripe Inc. in accordance with their Privacy Shield.
Data is retained for the duration of your account and for 12 months after deletion, unless different legal obligations apply.
You have the right to: access your data, rectify it, erase it ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, port it in another format, object to automated processing. Send your request to privacy@writermatch.app.
We only use strictly necessary technical cookies for the platform to function. We do not use profiling or third-party cookies for advertising without your consent.
We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
